Decided to take a walk up Cadair so drove around to Ty Nant and started off on the Foxes Path.

It was pouring with rain and visibility was virtually zero, perfect conditions for hill-walking. I got to the little river crossing (usually a small stream) near Goat Lake and had no choice but to wade through with water up to y thighs... Until this point my feet had stayed relatively dry!

I found a geocache here and then headed on up to Llyn y Gadair where I found another cache. From here, rather than head up over the scree to the summit I walked around the lake under Cyfwry arete (n climbing for me today though) and then onto the little path that cuts across to the Pony Path. I met a couple of people on this path who were a little disorientated so I put them straight as to where they were and continued on to the Pony Path. I then went up the Pony Path a little way looking for another geocache before descending to find another and head back to the car.

I got completely soaked, didn't see much but had a good time navigating around the hill in the mist and rain.
